Many farms now Direct Drill seeds and herbs into existing leys to minimising the impact on soil structure caused by too frequent use of ploughing. See below some of direct seed drilling work we have undertaken for farms and land owners.
Our 32 row direct drill is capable of stitching seed in into existing grass leys or complete reseeding. If you want to improve your pasture without the cost of ploughing and cultivation this is for you. Our tractors are equipped with GPS navigation for accuracy, efficiency and field mapping. Direct drilling is far superior than simply broadcasting seed for the birds to eat.

This project involved direct drilling grass seed into very poor, rough, horse poached fields at end of March and the resultant growth seen three months later. Not sown as a harvesting crop, but grass seed sown to re-establish quality of the grazing field.
This project shows results of a direct drill of seed to sprayed off grass meadow mid September with the growth close to hay harvesting 8 months later in May.
