Conifers have a reputation for growing quickly and if not controlled annually they will overwhelm your property. Such is the case with this commercial project for a business in Cranleigh, Surrey, where the conifers had been left to grow unchecked for many years.

This was a significant task that involved a combination machines over 2 days to hard prune to a more manageable screening for future control.

We used our tree shear attachment to initially reduce height by 30%, then using a safety cradle mounted to our JCB telehandler, we manually refined the height with chainsaws. The sides were initially hard pruned back with tractor mounted flail cutters; a more refined finish was achieved with manually held hedge cutters.
